Captain Donny Lange

Donny grew up as a young boy fishing and diving in the Keys. At the age of 18 he began working on offshore charter boats, where he continued for eight years. After that he started his own backcountry charter business. A few years passed and Donny had the opportunity to travel and fish all throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and the Pacific. After two years of traveling he returned home and picked up where he left as a backcountry captain. Donny said of all the places he has been “Islamorada is still his favorite.” Donny guides anglers who wish to fish with either fly or spinning tackle to tarpon, bonefish, permit, snook, redfish, and trout. Fishing the “backcountry” includes the Florida Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, and Everglades National Park. A wide variety of fish live in the “Park” and it’s not uncommon for Donny to catch eight or ten different species in a single outing.
