Stalking bonefish on the Florida Keys Flats of Islamorada, Florida is one of the ultimate dreams of sportfishermen around the world.

There is little room for error when catching an Islamorada Backcountry Bonefish.

You have to be very precise with your cast, whether bait or fly. Any sudden movement can spook a fish!

Some of the largest bonefish are found in the Islamorada area, the world record on fly was actually held here for many years, right out of Bud N’ Mary’s Marina!

Something you may want to consider if your a serious fishermen and wanting to make sure your Islamorada Flats Fishing experience is like what you’ve dreamed about!

We also catch permit and tarpon on the same flats, and in the backcountry there are snook, redfish, trout, snappers, and more.

With all the Florida Keys has to offer both offshore and inshore, why would you want to go anywhere else???

Fishing Reports

5 star ratingWe fished other party boats in the past and had a good time but never the service we had on the Miss Islamorada. Jude , Logan and Josh were great. I couldn't ask for more. Captain Andrew put us on fish every day. While some days fished better than others we never went home empty handed. I highly recommend the party boat experience on the Miss Islamorada.

5 star ratingOkay let's start with parking, get there super early to get a good parking spot. Cute little cafe you can grab (good) coffee and breakfast before you head out. Also can grab some last minute food or beverages for the boat from the little store. Fair prices for oh crap I forgot. For starters I've gone on many deep sea fishing charters and the mates we had were the best yet. Dawson and Ray. They were helpful, funny and all around went the extra mile. Even got to watch bull shark and nursery shark feed at the end. They were both amazing. The captain was also super stellar. He unlike other captains I've experience was very involved. Any time he wasn't steering he was helping including filleting at the end. Very nice guy and made sure, without being pushy, that his crew was taken care of. I won't say I caught the most fish ever on this trip but I did catch the biggest variety I've ever caught. Very much enjoyed this trip. Would do it again. And caught plenty for dinner and a few days worth of leftovers!

5 star ratingI was there on a 2 day backcountry fishing trip with my 18 year old son. We had Capt John Johansen the first day and captain Ted Wilson the second day. We caught a tarpon and quite a few sharks. We had a most pleasurable trip and hope to do it again soon. Captain John and Captain Ted thank you for a great time on the water. You represent Bud and Mary's very well. I hope to see you guys soon!
