The magnificent “Mama Linda” is a custom designed 50′ Islamorada house boat docked at Bud n’ Mary’s Marina. The boat is secured to the dock (you cant drive it) and sits right on the ocean.
From the outside the “Mama Linda” looks simple, but when you walk inside you’ll be amazed with the craftsmanship! With central AC, there’s a master bedroom with a queen size bed, a guest bedroom with two extra long twin beds, a bathroom w/ shower, a small kitchenette area, and a living room with two couches and a bench seat.
There is a full size fridge and microwave in the kitchenette but no cooking appliances. The Mama Linda can sleep up to 4 people comfortably. We tried to stay here and it was booked... but we stopped here on the drive. It was the highlight of the drive! Sharks, tarpon, pelican, great ibis and a manatee!! We just watched the animals for an hour.
Awesome Fishing Trips Our family enjoyed two half day fishing trips in March 2019, while on vacation in The Keys. Both our Captains were exceptional and we highly recommended them! The trips were out of Bud n’ Mary’s Marina. One trip booked through the captain ahead of time and one booked through the marina the day before. The first trip was with Captain Mike Walter, in search of a big tarpon to fulfill our daughter Chelsea’s Bucket List. Captain Mike immediately put us on the tarpon and Chelsea was thrilled with the fight of her 80 pounder. The second trip with Captain Dave Peck was for a variety of different species and we caught a lot of fish, which we enjoyed. But the last fish of the day was the highlight and we will remember it as “The Fish of a Lifetime” a 250 lb Goliath Grouper! It truly was an Amazing Experience! More
