The Aqua Lodge is the newest addition to our houseboat accommodations at Bud n’ Mary’s. It was outfitted in February 2016 and is ready for rental! The boat has a master bedroom with a full size bed and TV, another full size bed is mid ship with 3 walls around it (it’s open on the hallway side), there’s a bathroom with a walk in shower, and in the the living room there’s a tv, couch, and a small dinette area with a table for 2. The Aqua Lodge Houseboat is docked on the inside sections of where our other houseboats are and has a patio area overlooking the marina basin. You’ll see our pet tarpon swimming as you relax on your fishing vacation and enjoy the charter boats returning to their slips at the end of the day. We do not allow cooking on the aqua lodge or any of our other houseboats! We also do not allow children under 15 to stay on the houseboats. There is a fridge and microwave in the kitchenette area. Awesome Fishing Trips Our family enjoyed two half day fishing trips in March 2019, while on vacation in The Keys. Both our Captains were exceptional and we highly recommended them! The trips were out of Bud n’ Mary’s Marina. One trip booked through the captain ahead of time and one booked through the marina the day before. The first trip was with Captain Mike Walter, in search of a big tarpon to fulfill our daughter Chelsea’s Bucket List. Captain Mike immediately put us on the tarpon and Chelsea was thrilled with the fight of her 80 pounder. The second trip with Captain Dave Peck was for a variety of different species and we caught a lot of fish, which we enjoyed. But the last fish of the day was the highlight and we will remember it as “The Fish of a Lifetime” a 250 lb Goliath Grouper! It truly was an Amazing Experience! More
Fishing Fun Day We always have a blast with the crew on this charter!! We would always love to catch more fish when we’re out there, but we caught a lot of porgies, some snapper and a hogfish that we couldn’t keep because it wasn’t in season, but it was a lot of fun to catch. Ray was great, as well as the captain when it came to, taking the fish off our hook and keeping track of them. This is something we plan on doing every time we come down! Lots of fun!!
These guys work hard to put you on the fish and help you catch fish. You are going to catch fish. Good trip for beginners and experts too. At the end of the day they will clean and fillet the fish for you to take home to eat or take to a restaurant and let them cook it up for you. I have been on other boats that were not a good. The gear is all in good working condition and they run a tight ship. I am local and I will be back.
