The Sailfish Houseboat is a classic house boat completely remodeled in 2014. It sits with an Ocean View on the outside dock of Bud n’ Mary’s marina. The boat is secured to the dock and doesn’t leave. There is NO cooking on this boat. We also do not allow children under 15 to stay on the houseboats.
The Sailfish houseboat has one bedroom with two full size beds, a bathroom with shower, a futon, Satellite TV, A/C, a mini fridge and a microwave. If you want to experience Islamorada in true Key’s fashion, try the Sailfish House boat! Wake up on the water as you watch the sunrise over the Atlantic ocean! We have a minimum of a 2 night stay on the Sailfish Houseboat.
I'm still going to give Bud & Mary's party boat five stars because I love the marina, the captain and the party boat itself 100% but for the first time in 7 to 8 years that I have been going on this boat I was a little disappointed with the crew. Ive never felt like they played favorites until yesterday. There was a particular customer that is also a regular and he and his family we're treated like royalty and others not so much. One of the other guest from out of town and I had a long conversation about it. It was definitely clear to all the other guest as well. I won't stop going on that boat because as I said I really like captain and love Bud n Mary's. My son worked in the service industry for years so I believe in tipping but I'll tip according to the way I'm treated as well.
Straight fishing heaven! Especially, for a couple of California Boys that don't get to fish this style on the west coast. Group of six of went out for two days and sight fished for Tarpon and Snook. Also hooked into a lemon shark, a bunch of sea trout, catfish, snapper, grouper, and some other random fish. We also stayed at "The Conch House" on property for 2 nights which was super convenient for the early am departures. There's multiple captains here from sight fishing inshore to offshore. Definitely recommend this spot to start your fishing adventures. There's a kitchen onsite for breakfast or sandwiches to go. Pretty much one stop shop. If you're wanting to eat your catch go next door to Lazy Daze and they'll prepare it for you for! Here's a few pics enjoy!
Best fishing trip you'll go on for the price!! The captain put us on fish all day and boy did we catch them. We went from 9:30-4:30 and between my grandpa, my girlfriend, and I, we caught 2 five gallon buckets full of all kinds of fish. We caught yellow tail, grunts, porgie, and a bunch of other random fish. I saw a couple guys pull in king mackerel. The crew was very knowledgeable and extremely kind and I couldn't thank them enough. At the end of the day it costed $70 per person and they ask for a %20 percent tip to the mate(Which after they helped out all day I was more than happy to give more than %20) and I gave them another $15 for cleaning my fish which isn't required but after they clean that many fish it's worth every penny. I learned a lot and laughed a lot and caught a lot of fish and the day couldn't have been better
