The NEW “Broad Minded” is a 2024 42′ Freeman powered by quad yamaha 300’s. It’s one of the fastest and nicest offshore charter boats in town! We have the latest and greatest Garmin electronics as well as all Penn Tackle for helping us catch fish. For seating there are 5 forward facing seats (1 is for the captain), a rear facing bench seat which sits on top of two drink boxes, and a large coffin box lounger. There’s no head on the boat but we always have a 5 gallon bucket. We can handle up to 6 guests on the boat and with the extra speed compared to so many boats you will have more fishing time! Capt. Mike Varney has run the Boat the past couple seasons and Swordfishing and Deep Drop bottom fishing is our specialty. Of course we can fish for all the usual stuff but Capt. Nick Stanczyk originally went the Freeman route to focus on our longer offshore runs.

We had a great day fishing on the Miss Islamorada - Captain TJ and mates Ben and Jude were awesome with having everything ready and assisting with the fishing. Was there with my 11 year old and they were great with them. We caught a bunch of fish and it was a memorable day.

I'm still going to give Bud & Mary's party boat five stars because I love the marina, the captain and the party boat itself 100% but for the first time in 7 to 8 years that I have been going on this boat I was a little disappointed with the crew. Ive never felt like they played favorites until yesterday. There was a particular customer that is also a regular and he and his family we're treated like royalty and others not so much. One of the other guest from out of town and I had a long conversation about it. It was definitely clear to all the other guest as well. I won't stop going on that boat because as I said I really like captain and love Bud n Mary's. My son worked in the service industry for years so I believe in tipping but I'll tip according to the way I'm treated as well.

This review is for Bud and Mary's 'Miss Islamorada' 'headboat' party fishing charter. My son and I were out in the Keys for a few days of
fishing looking to do some deep sea fishing. Bud and Mary's was recommended by several people. Called up - folks were super friendly
on the phone and booked my son and I for $70 each including licenses, tackle, and bait (great price!). Went out with them and about 20 others on the Miss Islamorada the following day and had a great day fishing. We rolled out of the harbor around 9:30 and got back in around 3:30. Stopped at around 8 spots throughout that time. Everyone on board caught fish and had a great time. Hats off to the Captain (Don't know his
name ) and especially deckhands Jude and Tyler - who ran around the entire 6 hours chumming, taking fish off hooks, baiting peoples lines, untangling lines...you name it. If you go out - tip these guys well after
