Most of the offshore charter boats at Bud n’ Mary’s Marina are owner/operator and vary in price due to their fuel burn/amenities/boat size. The backcountry skiffs are all owner/operator and most of them have near identical fixed costs, so their prices are the same. We do not offer any discounted rates for “Islamorada fishing packages” since we do not own the boats. Examples of “multi day fishing packages” would include fishing on both offshore and backcountry boats. There are so many different fish to catch in Islamorada, mixing it up a little bit is highly recommended. However, if you favor one type of fishing over another, feel free to book multiple days doing that! This is an awesome Marina to fish out of. Lots of charter boats available with a restaurant that opens early for breakfast and will pack you a lunch to take on your trip. Ample fishing gear and bait with a awesome atmosphere. If you're looking to fish out of a great Marina you cannot go wrong with Bud and Mary's
fished today on reel mccoy w/ Captn george...just awesome...top 10 days on the water and i fish ALOT! the live bait sail fishing is sooo unique and even beats drop back...much like so cal broadbill/stripey fishing you cast live baits to tailing or feeding sails..non freaken stop action with plenty of pandemonium had 3 rods going at once..the boat is a quiet smooth ride and the team just great...would fish with them anywhere/anytime!
Okay let's start with parking, get there super early to get a good parking spot. Cute little cafe you can grab (good) coffee and breakfast before you head out. Also can grab some last minute food or beverages for the boat from the little store. Fair prices for oh crap I forgot. For starters I've gone on many deep sea fishing charters and the mates we had were the best yet. Dawson and Ray. They were helpful, funny and all around went the extra mile. Even got to watch bull shark and nursery shark feed at the end. They were both amazing. The captain was also super stellar. He unlike other captains I've experience was very involved. Any time he wasn't steering he was helping including filleting at the end. Very nice guy and made sure, without being pushy, that his crew was taken care of. I won't say I caught the most fish ever on this trip but I did catch the biggest variety I've ever caught. Very much enjoyed this trip. Would do it again. And caught plenty for dinner and a few days worth of leftovers!
